...I am concerned with the detail and quality of my paintings.
In this age of mechanical production and ready made products I grind and make my own paints and wooden panels (made with rabbit-skin glue and gold plaster).
I also make my own varnish
(for more information click on My Unique Procedures).
In my paintings I explore life around me.
With my still lifes I like to "tell a tale" about a season
or something that has happened in the past.
My landscapes document the beautiful Tuscany countryside
during the changing seasons.
I often dress my models in costumes.
What I am trying to do by this is bring out the feminity
in women that our modern culture represses,
a woman's "dolcezza" and sensuality.
My traditional realistic painting and drawing is
particularly suited to commissioned portrait work.
